Exercises

Six ways to practise, one test.

Each exercise is built on one part of the ICAO language test. A lesson mixes them, so no two days feel the same.

Name the part

You see a real photograph with one part marked and choose its name from four words. It takes seconds, and it builds the words you need to describe an aircraft.

Trains Vocabulary

Compare two photos

Two photographs of a similar situation. You say what is the same and what is different: the weather, the runway, the aircraft, what may happen next.

Trains Structure, vocabulary, fluency

Describe a picture

One real aviation photograph. You describe what you see and what may have happened, out loud or in writing. After you answer, the app tells you more about the picture.

Trains Fluency and vocabulary, and pronunciation when you speak

Answer questions

Questions like the examiner's: your flying, your work, a difficult day. You record your answer or write it.

Trains Interactions and fluency

Tell the story

A short story in pictures. You tell it in order: what happened first, and what came next.

Trains Structure: the past tenses and the words that join events

Listen to the radio In progress

Radio calls between pilots and controllers. You answer a question about what was said, or read a clearance back.

Trains Comprehension

How a lesson is put together

  • Short lessons4 questions at a time, from different exam formats. Short enough for a break between flights.
  • What you miss comes backA question you get wrong returns in a later lesson, until you know it.
  • Review stopsAfter every 5 lessons, a stop that only revises what you have already met.
  • An exam for each sectionOne question from every format, and 3 lives. Pass it and the next section opens.
Status

In development.
